Watch out Kanye, Lady Gaga has her own throne … made of solid gold.

After surgery for a torn hip joint, Mother Monster commissioned a 24-karat-gold-plated wheelchair from jewelry designer Ken Borochov.

The Daily Beast reports the glam chair was put together in a week complete with leather upholstery and canopy.

The 1.5 ounces of gold used to make the wheelchair is estimated at $2,600.

Terry Richardson posted the image of the singer at the right while the two were hanging out in New York.

The injury made the singer postpone shows in Chicago, Detroit, and Hamilton.

Lady Gaga's Fake Fingernail Just Sold For An Insane Amount

lady gaga fake fingernail

Lady Gaga's fake fingernail — a dangerous accessory to her signature "monster claw"— auctioned off for approximately $12,000.

The black pinkie nail, emblazoned with gold glitter and beads, completed the Mother Monster's over-the-top outfit at last year's launch of her Fame Fragrance. It was hand painted by her personal manicurist Aya Fukuda.

A photograph taken the following night during a "The Born This Way Ball" tour stop in Dublin shows Gaga missing the acrylic nail on her left hand.

A crew member found the mini dagger backstage at the Aviva Stadium after Gaga's performance.

"I noticed an object on the floor of the stage, which at first I thought was a guitar plectrum," the crew member said, according to the auction listing. "When I picked it up, I saw it was an acrylic nail."

The lucky, if not obsessed, buyer will receive the nail, a letter of provenance from its rescuer, two photographs of Gaga with and without the nail at the perfume event and on-stage, an Aviva Stadium staff handbook, an event crew wristband, and a Lady Gaga "The Born This Way Ball" grey crew t-shirt.

Dignity sold separately.

Lady Gaga Dominates On Forbes' Top-Earning Celebs Under 30 List

$

0

lady gaga wheelchairForbes released its Top-Earning Celebrities Under 30 list, and found that pop superstar Lady Gaga is rolling in it.

In $80 million, to be exact — no longer rolling in the 24-karat-gold-plated wheelchair which she commissioned after surgery earlier this year.

In February, Lady Gaga canceled several stops on her Born This Way Ball Tour after sustaining a hip injury while in concert. Had she completed the tour on schedule, she would have likely topped $200 million.

Last year, the Queen Monster placed forth on the list, earning $52 million.

The list included many familiar faces from 2012, just shuffled in order. It dropped Lil Wayne and Robert Pattinson.

World-renowned DJ and producer Calvin Harris made the list for the first time, thanks to his writing credits on Grammy-winning songs like Rihanna's "We Found Love" and show fees from more than 150 gigs in 12 months.

Also new to the list, America's favorite young, stumbling actress Jennifer Lawrence raked in $26 million in 2012.

Lawrence earned under $1 million for "The Hunger Games," one of the top-grossing movies of 2012, but reportedly received a handsome raise for the sequel, due in theaters in November.

Here's the complete star-studded list, with the 2012 rankings in parentheses:

1. Lady Gaga — $80 million (#4)

2. Justin Bieber - $58 million (#2)

3. Taylor Swift — $55 million (#1)

4. Calvin Harris — $46 million (NEW)

5. Rihanna — $43 million (#3)

6. Katy Perry – $39 million (#5)

7. Adele — $30 million (#6)

8. Jennifer Lawrence — $26 million (NEW)

9. Kristen Stewart — $22 million (#7)

10. Taylor Lautner — $22 million (#9)

The Mother Monster went after Mother Russia.

Lady Gaga launched a Twitter rant on Monday, berating the Russian government for its "criminal" stance on LGBT rights.

The five-time Grammy winner's visa is currently being investigated by the Russian government, according to ABC News. Authorities say she violated her tourist visa by performing concerts there last year.

Expert sources, including the executive director of the Center for the National Interest, speculated to ABC that the investigation is a thinly veiled attempt to punish the singer for her LGBT advocacy.

She tweeted:

Lady Gaga vaguely addressed the investigation with this tweet:

The three tweets garnered a combined 47,000 retweets.

Lady Gaga took a leave of absence from Twitter between March and June, and returned for the promotion of her album "ARTPOP," which drops November 11.

Lady Gaga And Perez Hilton Are Viciously Feuding On Twitter Over Claims He Is A 'Stalker'

Perez Hilton Lady Gaga

Once best friends who traveled the world together, Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton are currently in the midst of a very public feud.

After one of Gaga's nearly 40 million Twitter followers alerted her that the celebrity gossip blogger was inside her NYC apartment building, the singer blasted Hilton on Twitter.

The tweets have since been removed, but read:

"STAY AWAY FROM ME + MY FAMILY YOU ARE SICK TRYING TO RENT AN APARTMENT IN MY BUILDING TO STALK ME. LEAVE ME ALONE!!"

"DO I NEED TO BE SHOT IT IN THE HEAD FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT HIM AND EVERYONE ELSE THAT HARASSES ME HAS GONE TOO FAR? IM A HUMAN BEING."

She did keep this one in her feed:

But Hilton vehemently denies the stalker accusations, and devoted an entire post on his website to addressing "Lady GaGa's Lies."

He explained that his move to NYC had been in the works for a long time — and that his visit to Gaga's apartment building was pure coincidence while apartment hunting.

"I love New York and that is where me and my growing family want to call home right now. Sunday, my realtor showed us a list of possible apartments to rent. I learned only after the fact that Lady GaGa lives in one of the buildings we looked at, and she was across the country in Los Angeles when I viewed that building. After a day of innocent house-hunting, I am devastated and my heart hurts that my former very good friend, a person I used to call my 'wifey' and traveled the world with, is making very public and very untrue allegations about me on Twitter," he wrote.

"While it is still too painful for me to go into detail about why I chose to no longer make her a part of my life, I will say that I am a critic and not a 'stalker'. Any allegation that I am stalking her, based on a day of house hunting with my baby boy and my mother, is utterly false, defamatory and now appears to be putting me and my family in danger. I will continue to be a critic - in a way that is not mean or involves name-calling, and I will continue to have an opinion and talk about music and songs, like GaGa's 'Applause'."

"Notwithstanding my feelings about our personal relationship, I do wish Lady GaGa happiness and continued success and I assure you my family house hunting has nothing to do with her," he concluded.

Hilton also tweeted at Gaga directly during a vicious back and forth on Twitter over the weekend while she has been out promoting "ARTPOP."

"Maybe one day I'll talk about the hurt you caused me and many others. I'm still healing, removing your knife from my heart," he claimed. "Not only were you #cruel to people who worked for you, friends of mine, but you also purposefully tried to sabotage other artists. The REAL Lady GaGa is very VERY different from the one you pretend to be publicly. And that's the truth, on my dead dad's grave!!!"

Rihanna, Lady Gaga, And Beyoncé's Bodyguard Dies After Breaking Into Neighbor's Home Naked And On Drugs

Lady Gaga Norman Oosterbroek

Update: An earlier version of this story implied that Oosterbroek died as a result of a Taser, when in fact, the cause of his death is yet to be known. We apologize for any confusion.

Norman Oosterbroek has been responsible for protecting the lives of A-listers such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Rihanna and even Nelson Mandela.

But on Monday night, the 6'5, 43-year-old celebrity bodyguard from South Africa known as "The Dutch Giant," put his own life in jeopardy when he "broke into his neighbor’s property in Miami’s Pinecrest neighborhood while naked and carrying a white powdery substance," reports RadarOnline.

“He did gain access to the home,” Detective Robin Pinkard of the Miami-Dade Police Department tells RadarOnline. “According to the victim [Christiane Jung], she heard a noise. When she walked outside of her bedroom, she observed him standing there unclothed.”

Oosterbroek proceeded to get into a verbal argument with Christiane Jung's husband, Markus, “which escalated to a physical confrontation,” according to a police report.

“During the confrontation, [Oosterbroek] was observed ingesting an unknown substance," according to the report.

Mrs. Jung called police and officers were forced to taser Oosterbroek after being unable to subdue the 280-lb. bodyguard.  He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

“He was highly violent, uncontrollable and obviously wasn’t stable,” said Nancy Perez, spokeswoman for Miami-Dade police, which is investigating the incident.

Oosterbroek had been in and out of rehab for several years, according to a report in the Miami Herald.

Victim Jung tells the Herald, “Our family needs time to heal. This was really, really horrible and we can’t talk about it now. I can tell you that Pinecrest police took very good care of us. It was horrifying.”

Although Oosterbroek lived a few doors down and across the street, Mrs. Jung said, “We really don’t know the man at all.”

But Oosterbroek was well known in his own field for being an aggressive bodyguard.

Three years ago, at a Jay Z concert in Washington, D.C., Oosterbroek broke the legs of a fan who crashed the stage during the rapper's concert. Watch below:

Personal Assistant Who Says Lady Gaga Made Her Sleep In Her Bed Will Get Her Day In Court

Lady Gaga

NEW YORK (AP) — A onetime roommate and friend of Lady Gaga who claimed after serving as her personal assistant for more than a year that the pop singer cheated her out of overtime wages can tell her story to a jury in November, a judge said Tuesday.

A jury can decide whether Gaga's demands left Jennifer O'Neill any personal time or whether she was on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as she claimed in her 2011 lawsuit, U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe said. A trial is set for Nov. 4.

O'Neill worked for the singer for one to two months in early 2009 and for 13 months beginning in February 2010, and the judge said both sides agree she was expected to be available as needed throughout each hour of each day.

Gardephe ruled that O'Neill's "on-call" time potentially qualifies for overtime compensation.

O'Neill said she was paid at a flat rate of about $50,000 annually when she was first hired and $75,000 annually the second time by the pop singer, who is estimated in a list published by Forbes magazine to have earned $80 million in the first six months of this year.

Lawyers did not immediately comment.

In his written decision, Gardephe noted that lawyers said Lady Gaga, listed in the litigation under her birth name — Stefani Germanotta — and O'Neill frequently slept in the same bed because O'Neill never had her own hotel room while on tour and was required to address Lady Gaga's needs throughout the night.

O'Neill had testified in a deposition that if Lady Gaga was watching a DVD in the middle of the night and grew tired of it, she woke her up to take out and replace the DVD.

"Every day is a work day for her, so every day is a work day for the rest of us," she said. "There is no, 'We're going to stay in, we're going to sleep.' There is no, 'Let's put on sweatpants and go out to the movies and be girlfriends.' It doesn't work like that," O'Neill said.

In her deposition testimony, Lady Gaga had testified: "You don't get a schedule. You don't get a schedule that is like you punch in and you can play ... at your desk for four hours and then you punch out at the end of the day. This is when I need you, you're available."

O'Neill had testified she was responsible for sometimes monitoring the singer's email and telephone communications and for handling all her luggage — generally 20 bags — including clothing, accessories, makeup and toiletries.

She was also responsible for making sure that "special food" was available at every location and for making sure the singer arrived at performances on time and had ample time for hairstyling, makeup and voice warm-ups and that she appeared on stage on time, O'Neill said.

She said she assisted with costume changes during performances and was responsible afterwards for arranging ice packs, tea and a shower, along with dinner and an exit from the venue.

The judge noted that the women met after Lady Gaga moved into O'Neill's apartment building on the Lower East Side of Manhattan before 2008, when they became roommates and friends. O'Neill was offered a position as her personal assistant because they were friends and she had experience in the music industry, court papers said.

Lady Gaga's Outfit And The Other Weirdest Moments At The YouTube Music Awards

$
0
0

Lady gaga youtube awardsCrying babies, Win Butler's Kanye moment, a faked double suicide, face painting, a makeup-free Lady Gaga in plaid and a trucker's cap.

There were all kinds of unexpected moments on the first YouTube Music Awards, as imagined by Spike Jonze and carried off by the odd couple hosts Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts.

Eminem, Taylor Swift and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were among the winners during Sunday night's live webcast from New York. But the awards were sort of beside the point as Jonze and others directed live videos with Eminem, Gaga, M.I.A. and rapper Earl Sweatshirt, and Schwartzman and Watts careened about the soundstage with only notecards to point the way.

Eminem was named artist of the year before performing a word-perfect version of his new lung-busting tour de force "Rap God," filmed in black and white. Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" won YouTube phenomenon and Macklemore and Lewis won YouTube breakthrough.

Actress Gina Gerwig kicked the awards off as the protagonist of a live video of Arcade Fire's "Afterlife," directed by Jonze. Gerwig appears to break up with her boyfriend, then expresses the emotions she's feeling in an interpretive dance that moves from apartment to forest to soundstage with a little visual trickery.

A short while later Schwartzman and Watts admitted they would be working the 90-minute show without a script — with just notecards standing between them and awkward pauses and brief technical difficulties.

"This is all about anything happening," Schwartzman said, and it sort of did.

Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler stepped into the shot to take photos with his iPhone, the show's hosts ran through the crowd a few times, climbed a ladder, participated in face-painting, performed not one but two improvised songs and in the show's most awkward moment carried babies through the crowd and tried to interview Macklemore and Lewis as they cried.

"So do we get to keep the babies?" Macklemore asked.

Schwartzman said the night was about creativity, and it certainly was creative.

Earl Sweatshirt and fellow rapper Tyler, the Creator, performed their song "Sasquatch" in the midst of a mosh pit, using hand-held cameras to relay the frenetic experience. Lady Gaga went the opposite way, performing her new song "Dope" wearing just a black cap, sunglasses and a plaid shirt. She sat alone at a piano, with the camera tight on her face. She removed the glasses to reveal tears on her face as she sang.

Avicii played the dumb hot guy part in a short film that concluded with a blood-spattered faked double suicide and Butler made a return to the stage when he jokingly interrupted as a group of Swift fans accepted her award, recreating the infamous moment when Kanye West rushed the stage during Swift's win at the MTV Video Music Awards.

"Not Taylor Swift," Butler said. "I'm gonna let you finish. Not Taylor Swift. The YouTube phenomenon of the year was definitely the 'Harlem Shake.' I don't know. No disrespect, but everybody knows that if you've ever been on YouTube, so whatever." He then dropped the mic and walked off stage.

Other winners included Girls' Generation, DeStorm and Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix.

Lady Gaga Arrived At Her Album Release Party In A Half-Dress, Half-Drone That Literally Flies

Lady Gaga flying dress

Lady Gaga is known to make an entrance (remember this egg?), but the singer topped even her most ridiculous stunts Sunday night at Brooklyn Navy Yard when she arrived for her ARTPOP album release party in a flying, battery-powered dress named "Volantis."

Gaga told the crowd at the party: “I wanted to make today about something even more important to me, and that something is the youth of the world… Their minds are just so boundless. They’re just so inspiring.”

And though she says Volantis is just “a vehicle,” Gaga added the dress is “essentially a metaphor for me. I will be a vehicle today for their voices.”

As for how the dress works, Gaga didn’t fly it herself, but a technician controlled the unit via radio signals to make it rise nearly 70 inches above the stage.

The transport prototype "has six booms arranged in a hex formation with two electric motors at the end of each boom that provide power to custom carbon fiber propeller blades," notes The Verge, adding that it "looks like a giant AR.Drone helping to lift her above the stage."
